David Kibbe was named President and CEO of Indiana Trust Wealth Management in 2017, where he leads the company in strategic planning and execution of business strategy. With more than 25 years’ experience in estate planning and trust administration, David oversees the direction of Indiana Trust, where he is deeply committed to the clients and communities we serve.

Prior to joining Indiana Trust in 2011, David held the position of Vice President & Trust Officer in the trust and wealth management division of a regional bank. He also was an attorney for 14 years with Barnes & Thornburg, LLP, where he developed and implemented estate plans, and managed probate administration and related litigation.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, as well as a Certificate in Executive Management from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.

Active in many civic and business organizations throughout the years, David currently serves as President of the boards of both Hope Ministries and the IUSB Arts Foundation, and is a member of the board of directors of the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County. David has also served as a recent past-Chair of the Chancellor’s Advisory Board at Indiana University South Bend, and as a past-President of the Michiana Estate Planning Council. In October of 2020, David was awarded the Indiana University Bicentennial Medal for distinguished and distinctive service to the University and, in September of 2023, was named as the Indiana University South Bend Chancellor's Medal honoree,the highest honor bestowed by the IU South Bend Chancellor.  The Chancellor's Medal is awarded to individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions in advancing the campus and advocating for its mission while promoting human welfare and community well-being.  The honoree also serves as a role model for students and alumni through their integrity, leadership, and commitment.
