Scholarship Winner Announced, Ball State University
MUNCIE, Ind. – Indiana Trust and Investment Management Company is pleased to announce that Diana Rangel is the recipient of the Indiana Trust and Investment Management Company Scholarship to Ball State University. The Indiana Trust and Investment Management Scholarship awards $1,500 to a high school senior who will be attending Ball State University in the fall.
A graduate of Anderson High School, Rangel will attend Ball State University with a goal of earning a degree in accounting and potentially a master’s degree. With her accounting degree, Rangel hopes to help others make smart financial decisions and help them live debt free.
During her years at Anderson High School, Rangel maintained a 4.0 grade point average while working two jobs. At one of her places of employment, Skyline Chili, Rangel earned special recognition for her sales performance. She believes in a strong work ethic and has been employed for a couple of years while still managing her high school responsibilities. Rangel is a multi-award winning student, earning science and math awards along with an academic award from the National Honor Society.
Originally from Mexico, Rangel also served as a translator at Anderson High School. She also is a member of Interact, a youth group that is involved in community services.
“The Indiana Trust and Investment Management Scholarship is awarded to a student with outstanding personal success and a vision for their future,” states Ted Jarvis of Indiana Trust and Investment Management. “Diana encompasses the tradition of this scholarship and we wish her the best at Ball State University.”
